The publication of this article is a deeply proud and heartfelt moment for our Gurukul family. 🙏🏻💐

The inspiring journey of our beloved Pallavi Tai, the torchbearer of Kathak in America, has been beautifully featured worldwide in Global Indian Artist, through a thoughtful article written by her senior student Salonee Shatagar.

Global Indian Artist celebrates diaspora, dance, and dialogue — a digital home for dancers, thinkers, and storytellers worldwide, created by individuals who truly care about the arts and the artists who dedicate their lives to preserving them with sincerity and authenticity.

While Tai’s journey has been featured in publications before, this article is especially meaningful because it is the first time her story has been written by her own student, reflecting the deep gratitude and reverence that lie at the heart of the Guru–Shishya Parampara.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Global Indian Artist for the care and thoughtfulness with which they have featured our Tai. We feel honored that around the occasion of International Women’s Day, and alongside their beautiful new endeavor Kanakvalli Sarees — celebrating tradition, lineage, and rootedness, they found her journey worthy of reflection and inspiration.

We warmly invite you to read this thoughtful article that reflects the world of our Tai — a realm devoted entirely to Kathak. In the truest sense, she lives and breathes Kathak.

We are equally proud of students like Salonee Shatagar, whose gesture reflects deep respect and affection not only toward her Guru but toward the art form itself.

✨ Discover a life devoted to the art.

This is the quiet strength of the Guru–Shishya Parampara — where art is not merely taught, but lived, cherished, and carried forward across generations. 🍀🌸🍀
